    Re: How do I?

which part of the face plate are you replacing?

in any case, you will need a set of torx screwdrivers at least. t-4(yea, its small) are needed to remove the 4 screws that hold the back of the screen on. they are located behind the 4 rubber stoppers on the inside face of the screen. once you have those out, you can pry the back plate off(the plate that encases the small screen). it seems difficult and you may think your gonna break it, but its just clipped on, it will come off.

some faceplate just replace this piece, and the battery cover. if other tutorial is needed, just PM me or hit me up on aim(addamaniac). ive taken her appart about 8-10 times(various parts)

    good luck

Are you sure it is a T4? A couple of my friends have V3's that they changed the faceplates on, and they both had to use a T6. And every other Motorola that I have changed faceplates/housings on required a T6.

Thanks alot. I was talking about those faceplates you can buy to replace the front and battery cover. I was at the mall yesterday and someone told me you can ruin your screen by replacing those. I have a t6 screwdriver I think. I can't get the little rubber thingies out on the bottom. Guess I am a clutz. lol.

It's actually a T5, and I have done well over a hundred. Out of all the times I have done it, never has one went wrong(except maybe a lost screw or something on my 1st few tries). As long as you are gentle, you should be able to do it with ease.

Like the above poster states, under the four rubberpads around the internal LCD you will find 4 screws that will need to be taken out. After that, use a little flat head or something and pop the front face plate off(I start from the top). Then snap on the replacement cover. Then I'm sure you already know how to do the back cover.
