    Re: L6 slvr need help

Question. Is L6 the pink version of the SLVR? If so you may just have to call cingular to have them set it up, if not, you MAY have to flash your phone to cing or worst case senerio...... you bought a brick!!!!! First thing I would do (you may have already done so) is do a power cycle, I know it sounds dumb and everyone here has heard it but in your case you may get lucky and it does something for you. If that does't work do a manual search for networks, you say you have service but that can be construde as many things, so if you have a SIGNAL and the provider pops up as cingular than you shouldn't have a prob at all if not it could be a unlocked phone from overseas and thats a can of worms I know very little about try what I suggested and if you still have a prob let us know.

    Re: L6 slvr need help

I have a feeling I may be in the same boat. I got my wife a pink Slvr L6 from A1discountsdirect.com about a month ago, swapped my SIM card in, and everything seemed to work at first. All the contacts transfered, and the Cingular logo showed up on the screen as expected. The problem is that it CONSTANTLY drops calls. Where my Blackberry and old Cingular/AT&T phones have worked fine, this slvr will randomly drop calls and show "Emergency Only" on the screen.

This phone came with the euro power supply with adapter, so I'm pretty sure that it probably needs some work. I'm hoping that just tinkering with it a bit will save me a trip to the Cingular store.
