    hello,
I am trying to make my own ringtones with my Motorola V505 with Phone Tools. The library of music I have on my computer is ITunes, but when i open the Phone Tools, it does not recognize the music, just the folders. I notice that the ITunes are in a M4A file? Any assistance would be great. Thanks.

Try using a converter program to convert the music files from m4a to mp3. I use Xilisoft .3gp converter, although I am unsure if it will convert from m4a. Try a Google search on m4a to mp3 converter. That should yield some helpful results...

Thanks Motomadman.. I will check it out. Also, I screwed up my phone tools so i uninstalled it and thought i had the copy around but don't have it. Do you know anywhere online that has a free copy? Thanks.

Unless all of your music is protected files downloaded from iTunes Music Store, you can use iTunes itself to convert your M4A files to MP3.

    LG VX9900 (enV)
    BlackBerry 8130 Pearl
