I have a question cause I believe Alltel tried to pull a fast one by me. I bought a V710 back in October and it started messing up about a month ago so I took it back and they sent it off for repairs. They called me later and said it cannot be repaired and they would have to replace it with a new one. So I go up there about 40 minutes ago and they tell me that they can't replace it with a V710, however, they will replace it with an E815. The Alltel lady said the E815 is a "upgraded" model of the V710 however they have both of them for sale in the store and the V710 costs about 80 more than the E815. So basically I'm wanting to know if I was ripped off or not. Which is better.....E815 or V710

Re: V710 vs E815
You weren't ripped off
The e815 is a far better phone - hubby has the 710, I have the 815... he is forever sorry that he didn;t get the 815 as I suggested, but liked the colors of the 710.
THe only thing you MAY have lost (and I say "may" because I find conflicting reports) is that the 710 definitely has analog signal ability which is invaluable in areas where the oldest towers exist (miswest I understand?) where the 815 doesn't brag analog capability on its packaging....
Someone has yet to explain to me why I occasionally get an "A" where it usually says "1x" or "EV-DO"...
