A replacement phone? No, I havent tried that. My contract isn't up until September of 2007, and my mom didn't get insurance on the phone. I'm not sure about the warranty. The top (flipping) part of the phone already flew off, so would that void it?

Yes. However, Verizon sometimes carries refurbished phones that they can sell you for $50. This isn't advertised in the store, but if you contact customer service, someone may offer that to you.
