The screen went out on my old v505. When I sent it in to be repaired they wouldn't do it due to "water damage". So I set out to buy a new phone. Long story short I ended up buying a locked one because unlocked v505's were high-priced on ebay and I kept loosing auctions. I planned to have it unlocked by someone else. I have the old sim card from the previous phone. I was wondering if all my information from the old phone would carry over from the sims card?
Also I was wondering, since I have the old sims card, would it be easy for me to unlock it myself? If someone could give me information about that I would be really appreciative.
One more thing, the locked phone was used with AT&T. I need it to work with Suncom. I think it has the AT&T logo at the bottom. Would it be a problem for them to use it when the folks at Suncom see that? Thanks in advance.
