i recently got the motorola v3i and i noticed that when i open the phone and putting it near my ears (as if i'm talking on the phone), their seems to be a very high pitch noise that exists. and it is a continuous flow of the same high pitch noise. however, when i make a phone call, that noise is gone and all i hear is whatever voice is on the other end. does anybody have this problem?
also, i bought this phone off ebay brand new from a power seller that sells a bunch of phones. first off, the box is in spanish. second, i'm with cingular in CA. so when the phone arrived, i transfered my sim card to the v3i. however, i noticed that the roaming icon (the triangle icon on the top of the screen) is always present. i don't see how i can be roaming because cingular has the free nationwide network. i've been with cingular for couple years now and was never hit with roaming charges (i've used it in vegas, virginia, arizona). can anybody explain this?

My Razr V3c does the same thing. I don't think there is anything wrong with it.. but I could be wrong.

I think it's just a little hum from the lighted LCD screen, just like the hum that can be heard coming from some computer monitors. If it goes away when the light dims, it's probably nothing to be concerned about.
