Help for usb cable for V551

Have software for moble PhoneTools 3.07a ENU & data usb cable for v600 phone, wife got new upgrade to V551, the cable fits in v551 but my computer will not fine cable its says it will not recognize it, the phone tools says Phone Image not Availabe (Intialzing) but does nothing! what do I need to do to make it work does anybody know or have had this problem with there v551? any were I can download a newer verion for free of software will that help?

Hit cancle when is intializing then a pic of a fone will pop up on your desk top, now treat this like a real fone.
Click on menu--> there is a drop down look for live up date clicl on it and it will do up date but will take a long time cause you are way behind the current version is 4.04 i think!!!!

If updating the software will still not recognize the phone then u have to install it manually.
1.Setup
2.Connect a diff. Phone (select which phone)
3.Select GSM
4.Enter and you're done
You should now see the v551 phone pic on the comp and your cable should be recognized.
