On my Motorola charger for my V635 there are 3 visiable copper contact pins. 1 of them are longer then the other 2 pins, is this normal for the motorola chargers?

No, but if their all touching then you shouldn't be worried, but the fact that you display is staying lit may be cause for consern. The only moto's I know of that stay lit are nextel's.

Do you think the charger may be causing this problem (front display staying lite)?

on about half of motorola's line, they do just stay on, it's completly normal. With the charger one pin being longer, that is also normal. Your phone is fine...

I actually bought a new home charger yesterday and the front display does turn off now. It is also giving me much longer battery life. I guess the other charger was messed up. Thanks for all the help guys!

The reason you are getting better battery life is because the front display is not staying lit while the phone is charging. Believe it or not, that front display takes a considerable amount of juice to stay lit, and takes away from getting a full charge if it is always on.

I had the v635 and saw that the display stayed on during the charging. Didn't really seem to affect anything tho. Anyways, I thought that this would be something that could be toggled on the seem edit if it really bothered you.
