A man in Cali has filed a lawsuit against motorola claiming that his bluetooth moto headset caused his eat 'injury' by being too loud. He is seeking class action status. In this 'if it's hot, don't touch it' case, the man is suggesting that we are again victims of our own stupid acts. The lawsuit claims that these headsets can reach 85-100 decibels, which would eventually cause hearing loss. The manual for the device does make mention about turning the unit down because it could cause hearing loss.

Here is a link to the article: Man sues Motorola over wireless Bluetooth headsets

Any company stupid enough not to put a disclaimer on their product is just asking for trouble; that's the whole thing with lawsuits these days. It's not about having the common sense NOT to put your hand underneath your lawn mower while it's running, it's about whether or not Toro put a disclaimer stating such on the mower itself.

I still think the best one is 'Employees Must Wash Hands Before Returning To Work'; everyone knows that's not for the employee's benefit, it's for the customer's.

I think that this suing for any stupid reason what so ever is getting well out of hand. Even the gas pumps in my area say "not to be taken internally". We (the US) need to start relying on common sense like the people of the last generation did.
