Hey Im new here, i tried a basic search but could not find an answer.
Last night i dropped my motorolla v710 then ran over it... awsome move i know.
Anyway the phone still work, like i can take calls, make calls, use the voice dail options to call friends with my headset on. However both screens are very very cracked.
My question is how can i get the data off the phone? i have about 200 contacts that i need to get. Do i have to buy a new screen? I would like to just get the data and get a new phone its a bit old.
The phone is with Telus mobility.
Any suggestions would be great, thanks for reading.

Re: Help V710
If you go and get a new phone, the place you buy it from should be able to transfer your contacts onto the new phone as long as you didn't crush the port at the bottom where you charge it. That is also a data port and that is where they would connect the data transfer cable.
What they do is take the numbers out of your 710, temporarily dump them into a machine (sometimes referred to as a Medusa), and then connect the compatible cable for whatever new phone you get, and transfer the your numbers from the 'medusa' into your new phone.
Just keep it away from your car!! Good luck...
