I've had my i870 for a few months, probably since late july. My sister got it a few months before that on Spring break- she had a nextel sim car, she ran it up though and her sim card is de-activated right now. I bought a boost sim card and everything was fine and in proper working order. Not too long ago my phone just started acting crazy. The screen would always shut off, for no reason. For a little while the actual screen wouldnt come on at all, while the phone was actually on. For some unkown reason the screen kind of started working again. It just shuts the screen off on its own for no apparent reason. i constantly have to shut it off and turn it back on sometimes that doesnt work and i have to take out the battery and put it back in and turn the phone back on. Most of the time when i try to turn on the camera, it will say "multi-media error" and shut the camera off. I've never hurt the phone at all so i have no idea what the problem could be. I contacted iden or motorola or whoever and they said they have a year warranty on them so go have nextel fix it. Well i went to the allstar wireless and they said they would give me a new phone ACCEPT i have a boost mobile sim card so they cant fix it or even look at it. Even though i explained how my sister had bought it from that very store a few months back. One of the workers secretly suggested to me that i have someone with a nextel sim card bring it in. He said he didnt know for sure if it would work or not though. Like have someone with nextel put their sim card in mine and act like its theirs and what not. Does anyone know anything at all that could possibly help me out? I havent put any minutes on my phone for probably a month or two, and i really need a new cell phone, preferable not Nextel and to buy a phone from a different company I was going to try and sell this one. Although if i could get this phone to work again i would probably just stick with it.- Does anyone know about the switching the sim cards and getting it fixed thing? Plz help im in DESPARATE need of answers. Thank you
