SLVR L7 picture and rington

Hello everyone, I have a SLVR L7 and cant figure out how to add a ringtone to a phone number if this junky phone can even do it. I wanted to MOD it but im afraid I will mess it up. Im pretty good at following directions if someone is willing to help me. Thanks.....

i have the L7 also i hate it.

go to contacts menu-edit-store to sim switch this to phone-ringer ID

Don't bother installing any additional software to download games, ringtones etc. to this phone, if you hook it to your computer via the provided cable and turn off the auto start up in i-tunes you'll be able to browse the phones sd card via My Computer. In your mobile folder you should see a few other folders you my reconize, kjava, audio, ringtones, pictures, etc. (kjava is for games) you can copy paste all your tones pics games etc. to these folders and once on you phone you'll have to go to those folders on your phone and switch your storage device to your card then move those files to your phones memory..... games you can just choose to install and it will ask you where you would like to install them to phone/card? but with these you can play them from either place.

And by the way... It's a pretty decent phone if you know how to use it.

Griffzan, thanks for the info! What kind of files do I need I saw ones that had a .jad and another one but I cant remember because I deleted them last night. I will have to get them again today.Which file extentions do I need to move over to my phone? What else can you do to this phone? I wanted to install a new skin without that cingular name right in the middle of my screen ect. I read all about it but it seems like people are having so much trouble with MODs on phones I didnt want to mess mine up.

thanks for the reply! I have one more question for now. I have animated .gif that I want to use for a wallpaper ant it just wont work! It works if I view it under my pictures but not as a wallpaper. Thanks!

For some reason moto has seen fit not to enable this, I do know some others that do...I think samsungs?

yes, but in the manual it says I can use them but it doent work?

You can use them, only as screen savers.
