Cant send pics in text message w/ unlocked slvr

Hey guys,
I bought a unlocked slvr from ebay and it works great besides the texting. I can recieve pictures fine from other people, but i cant send them. I have cingular/at&t and i went to the site and updated my plan (told them i now have a slvr instead of my nokia). The size of the pictures are around 60kb is that too big? When i click send the sending message bar comes up and gets to about 93% and says unable to send. Any ideas would be great

yeah i cant send pic messages with my unlocked slvr either, its set up for rogers and im on t-mobile and no one here is cool enough to tell me the mms server settings for t-mobile
so i bet ur stuck like me

yeah and it didnt work again, when it tries to apply the update it says update failed. its realy lame!

It's not lame, you just don't know what you're doing...

in order for the phone to update, you have to delete one of the pre-install server settings

yeah i cant. there isnt an option to. thats why i was asking for actual settings to just edit the mms server stuff on the phone.
i do know what I'm doing.

Do you know how to get into your current server settings?

web session : PictureMessaging ( this is the one that doesn't have the option to delete right? that's why you have to delete it before you get that far under current server THERE you do have the option to delete one on the list, until you do, your phone will NOT update.

That wasn't my intention....just making a point that if the configurator doesn't work for you, one has too look at all possible causes before you knock it.

Agreed.

tomgrm has kind of an irreverant posting style ... ie: claiming that no one here is "cool enough" because we failed to jump quickly enough for him. He also could learn how to drop a "thank you" now and then too.

I just thought saying you just don't know what you're doing struck me as funny.

Lol. Are you attempting to send pics you've taken with your camera or stock pics from your files? Stock pics could be too large or perhaps more data than your carrier will allow you to send. If you haven't tried, try taking a pic with your camera and send it to yourself. Yup, that's right. Send it to yourself. Some carriers don't allow pic messaging until you've sent a pic to yourself.

If that doesn't work, call your carrier and ask them to OTA you their pic messaging protocols to make sure your phone is set up right.

If none of that works, we have a bigger problem.

To add to Wirelessfan's post, also try reducing the size on your camera settings to medium.... with some Motos it will not allow you to send picures with the camera settings set to large because it also saves them at that setting thus not allowing it to go through.
