Hi,
So I got my Slvr from best buy on Thursday. My carrier is Sprint. I did not recieve a USB cable or headphones or anything else with my phone other than the Slvr, and the charger, along with the SD card. So here's my problems:
1) The same cable I use for my digital camera works for the USB connector in the slvr, so I am able to plug my phone into my ACER and the computer sees the phone L7, but it asks for drivers to install the software. I didn't get any software with my phone. It shows a USB device has been connected and it knows what kind of USB device it is, but I cannot access it from My Computer or any other way. Is there software or drivers I have to download in order to access my phone?
2) I am able to put MP3s into my music folder when I had the SD card plugged in to the computer, and they play on my phone. But when I do the same thing with .3gp files that I have coverted and placed in the "Video" file I cannot see them in my phone. What am I doing wrong? I took a video on the phone and I can play it on the computer, but I cannot take a 15 second clip that I have converted to the same file type as the video coming off my phone and view it on my Slvr. What am I doing wrong? I convert, do the drag and drop into the Video's file already on the SD card and I cannot see it.
3) How the heck do you create ringtones and put them on? I have a edited a clip of a song that I want to place on my phone to make a ringer out of, and I can't do it. Again, I put the music file in every folder on the phone, as I did with my video, and again, I cannot see the file anywhere. I have tried mp4, mp3 and it doesnt seem to work.
Thank you in advance. I need help, any advice will be useful.
Thank you,
David

Re: I need serious Slvr help
I could not hook up my L6 via USB without Mobile Phone Tools. Windows has a hard time assigning a driver to the SLVR for some reason. The program comes bundled with the driver you need.

Re: I need serious Slvr help
you dont need MPT to connect your phone to your computer. thats the beauty of BLUETOOTH! buy a cheap USB dongle on ebay, and use the program it comes with, and you are set. its very easy to use, and wireless!!!
if you got questions PM me or just post on here
