make sure your MPT is up to date with version 4.36, then if need be go under the menu, then settings, then connection and change the phone to RAZR. Sure you have a SLVR, but the file transfer and multimedia studio will work that way

If that doesnt work try uninstalling, then reintalling MPT and updating to the newest version before plugging in the phone.

Did you re-boot your PC after installing MPT? also make sure you wait until you're prompted to plug the phone onto the USB cable, and last make sure that you're using the correct cable, even if it fits.

If you still can't get it to work then call Motorola Technical Support.

    1-800-331-6456

I remember having to remove "Motorola USB" from the Phones & Modems thing under Control Panel. Make sure MPT is not running when you do this & then open it back up & follow the directions for re-detecting the phone. Can't remember much more than that since it's been a while since I've had to do that.
