    Hey
im new here and i have a question. I got the motorola V262 and i want to remove the sim card and put it into my old nokia. The problem: I cant find this stupid thing! I already removed the cover and the akku and it looks like i have to put the phone apart.
Anybody who knows this phone and has a better idea?

What carrier do you have? carriers that dont have sim cards and are not supported are Alltel, Cricket, MetroPCS, Verizon. These companies have a motorola v262 but are not sim card phones.

Re: V262- where is the SIM card?!

yep, age old discussion...unfortunately it seems a larger problem here in the U.S. Two different bands of frequency, GSM (which the norm uses sim cards) and CDMA (which service is attached not to a sim but to the ESN).

Why carriers can't use a standard across the board...I don't know.

Edit--Who could forget good ol' (and maybe extinct soon) iden!

Re: V262- where is the SIM card?!

Whether the carrier does or does not support SIMs, would the camera not still have the "space" for a SIM located in the same spot? Thus getting back to the first question... where would the SIM be located in a Motorola V262 if it did exist?
We are using Telus & Rogers here in Vancouver and they are SIM friendly.

I too pulled out the battery and tried to find it, but to no avail.
Does anyone know how to open up one of these suckers?

    My Bad...
    I meant Phone, not Camera...

I'm not a complete moron, but apparently moving in that direction...
