Alright, I have a motorola razr of some sort, I thinks its V3xx, it's through AT&T. All I want to do is get a picture off of my phone and onto my computer. I have Mobiledit already installed. However, for some bizarre reason my computer won't acknowledge that the phone is even hooked up. I thought it was the USB cable but when I hooked up an MP3 player to the same cable my computer noticed it.

So, does anyone have any idea how the hell I can get this phone connected to my computer?

I had the same thing happen. I wanted to transfer pics to my phone to send off but it wouldn't acknowledge my phone. So I bought a thumb drive made especially for the small memory chip that can be installed in the back of your phone. The memory chip sits in the thumb drive, which your pc will recognize, transfer whatever you need from your pc to the chip/drive, then take the chip out and place it in the back of your phone.

Oh sorry. It works in reverse too of course. Place the chip in the back of your phone and then save the pic to the memory chip. Then place the chip in the drive, the drive into the pc and you should be able to transfer to your pc.

I had the same problem, first i plugged my mob into my printer, but i didn't want that as i just wanted the pictures to go onto my pc, i then did it though the bluetooth connection but still hooked them up through the usb and funnily enough it worked. I then switched connection to the memory setting and i transfered new data to phone that i wanted i.e tones etc and put my pics on the pc. I have no idea why this worked but it did.

to connect the phone to the PC you need to have drivers loaded onto the computer. the phone is not a plug and play device

generally this is the fastest way to transfer music, videos, and pictures to the PC. here is a link to a guide I made at HTR for doing this. Method two at the bottom discusses this, while method one at the top discusses using applications to directly interface with the phones filesystem.
