Krzr K1 contact search help

hey guys I just got a krzr k1 and I'm just learning about it and I can't figure out how to search for a contact without scrolling through the whole contact list. I googled it and everything and can't find anything of how to make it easy to search for a contact from the phonebook by just typing in the first letter of their name. Is there a way to do this. Thanks for the help

can't you just go to contacts and type via the keypad the first letter of their name?

yeah I tryed that and when I type the letter in it doesn't do anything. it just shows the letter I typed in at the bottom of the screen.
