I tried to remove the battery cover without pressing the release button first. In the process I broke the release button. Does anyone know where I can get a new button and spring? Will a new button just snap in?

Re: v262 battery release button
Do a Google search for Motorola V262 battery door. You will find several sites that carry the part (if that's what you need). However, I would do a search in Store Ratings and Reviews by Real People - Trusted Online Shopping to check the integrity of the vendors. Caveat emptor

Re: v262 battery release button
Thanks for the prompt replies! The battery door is fine. It's the battery door release button that I broke. Anybody know where I can find that particular part? I have googled and surfed quite a bit but I haven't been able to find this sort of part.

Re: v262 battery release button
If the battery door release button is on the body of the phone, then you might have to get a replacement phone body. You might try checking on eBay; my understanding is that a lot of people sell their used phones there, and you might be able to snag a v262 body for a decent price.
