I connected my Razr V3m to BitPim to try to maybe tranfer contacts over to the phone (It only has 17 hours used on it).

With BitPim nothing happened but the phone acted up right away. So I was trying to reset doing *228 and it wont let me do that, it goes halfway through then cuts me off.

The front screen is very dim, I tried to brighten it up but that didnt help. battery indicater doesnt show up, it wont charge.

When you turn it off you get a gray screen and the keypad if flashing. So then I put the phone down for a while then looked at it again (turned off) and the keypad was flashing! And also the date went back to Jan something.

Sorry for the long story, but what happened? How can I fix this. Anyway I can flash this phone myself? What do I do?

BitPim is not designed to work with Motorola phones, but I can't imagine that attempting to connect your Razr thru BitPim would trash the phone like that. At worst, you would get an error message of some kind. Now I could be wrong about this, so maybe someone else will provide further insights. Did you say that the phone only has 17 hours of time logged on it? Did you buy it new or used? If new, I would consider taking the phone back to your provider to see if they would replace it.

I managed to be able to see all the menus like normal, but I still cant *228 to program, it says call support. It doesnt give me any error messages. Everytime I turn it on the date goes back to January. Motorola Tools doesnt even reconized it. It did before. My boyfriend gave me this phone he got it from a co-worker he said his daughter never really used it, thats why there's few hours on it I think they had it a while sitting around. I'm trying to charge it through USB. I just wasnted to have an slim phone for weekends when I bike, I hate dragging my suitcase Voyager around.

Go to backlight and set to high.

*228 offers you three different options: 1, 2, and 3. Which one have you been choosing? (The normal choice is 2: Update your roaming capability.)
