Hello. Just wanted to ask anyone that owns the Motorola ve465 phone how they like it. I am thinking of adding a line to my existing Alltel cell phone plan for my grandfather-now that we have reception here in town. My 3 biggest questions are this:
1. Does it get good reception-I only ask because I heard the ve20 was terrible
2. Would it be user friendly for a 70 year old to use
3. How is its volume levels
Not really so much worried about question #1 as I am questions #2 and 3.
Like I stated above this phone would be for my grandfather. So I want something that would be easy for him to use and hear. Or another phone I looked at was the Samsung Hue II. Thank you in advance!!!

Re: Phone choices
Greetings,
I hope you have not yet pulled the trigger on a VE465 yet!
This is the worst cell phone I've owned, and I've been through quite a few.
One of the first thing I noticed was insufficient volume in most modes, but I didn't worry as I intended to pair it to a blue tooth headset. Still marginal.
I've yet to get an 'alarm' to 'ring', yet alone keep ringing every so many minutes until I end the alarm, so even if I could get it to 'ring', if it did so when I was in a noisy environment, poof, gone, I missed my mid-afternoon meds! And after over a dozen tries to get through and actually finish a call with tech support at MotoBlue, no joy.
It's not very user friendly at all, and I'm fairly tech-savvy.
The options for repeats of calendar events are woefully short as well.
This is a real dog turd, don't do it!
I've loved lotsa Moto product in the past, but this one's a big chip in their paint.
HTH,
roadpizza
