I just got the motorola krave and it is frustrating the heck out of me. I have a 2 gb micro card in it that is full of .mp3 songs that the phone does not recognize when the card is in. Why not?? I even reformatted the card and reloaded the music--my computer shows that the songs are in fact ON the card....but when the card is then put into the phone and i try to access "my music"...it says there are no songs on the phone...WHY??? I read on another site that the music can be loaded onto the phone via a usb cord and using windows media player 11....I am simply trying to load the music onto the card directly while the micro card is attached to a usb port on my computer. Will it only work by using windows media player? I can look on my computer at the folders on the card and I have my sounds and my music. When i look in the folders, the songs are there---but then I take the card out of the usb port and put it in my phone and it says they are not there..what gives?? Finally, I was trying to add a ringtone and someone else said it would work by putting the song in "my sounds" and then pic texting to yourself and saving it as a ringtone. I can find the song in my sounds, but I don't know how to pic text to myself...when i am looking at the song in my sounds, my only choices when i click the send button are bluetooth, online album, and phone memory--none of which will pic text them to myself. How can i do this??? I think the phone looks cool, but the little things are just killing me!!!

Re: Motorola Krave ZN4 music access
My other family members with different phones (still verizon) can access their music on their memory cards that is not drm...so the problem must be phone specific and not verizon specific. Any ideas???
My experience with the phone thus far would have to generate a no response. I have been unimpressed with the krave. Looks cool, yes, but everything else drives me nuts!!!Last edited by jbh_dok; 08-26-2009 at 09:02 AM. Reason: Auto-merged Double post

Re: Motorola Krave ZN4 music access
Yes, but how old are their phones? Some older phones don't have DRM built in, most newer ones do. That might be the problem.
Or, Maybe try a new memory card?
I was reading the specs, and it looks like it will support up to an 8gb microSD SDHC card. They are pretty cheap now a days.

Re: Motorola Krave ZN4 music access
We all got new phones 2 weeks ago--all verizon--mine and my wifes are the krave and the other 3 are LG--not sure of the model. What I do know is that my micro card works in THEIR phones no problem...but not in mine...the phone shows nothing in My Music even though 2 gb of music are on the card.
Not sure if my wifes can read the card since she refuses to let me "play" with it.
Since the card works fine in my kids NEW phones, it has to be the stupid krave!!

Re: Motorola Krave ZN4 music access
I have the Krave also and had the same problem to start with. I had put my card in my reader and removed everything from it and then let the Krave format it and hadn't had any problems since. I can swap my cards with other from both of my Kraves and the work with no probs after I had let the Krave format the cards.
Also on the DRM the Krave will play new stuff with no problems. I have always used some kind of ripping program and ripped my songs from the CD. I have just gotten a couple of new CDs and ripped them with media player and put them on my card with my card reader and they play just fine.
When pic txting songs or ring tones to yourself only certain file formats will give you the option to pic txt while others will only give you the option to send via BT or to your online alblum. I do find that ACC and QCP will give you the most problems but MP3 will pic txt with no prob.
Hope this answers some of your questions.

Your very welcome. I have only had my phones for a couple of months but when you work from home sometimes you have to much time on your hands and need to do something.
I'm just waiting to get the money so I can buy a USB cable for it and then see what kind of trouble I can get into.
