Hello, I just joined and need your help. A couple of months ago I dropped a new KRAZR into the toilet. Almost immediately I took out the battery and put both the phone and battery into a large bowl of rice to dry them out. My phone no longer works. When I plug it into the charger I get a blue motorola screen with the following words on the bottom " BOOTLOADER USB INIT" as well when I hit the red "off" key I get the following words "Power key reset" and then the multicolored Hellomoto screen appears. Can anyone out there help me? I'm on the hook for a 4 year contract and they want to charge me an arm and a leg for a new phone so I'd like to try to see if I can fix this before being forced to spend the big bucks. Thanks for your help.

I don't know but the warranty would probably be void as a result of the water damage wouldn't it?

Re: KRAZR on the Fritz
Normally, yes. Who is your carrier (Verizon? Sprint? T-Mobile?). Did you happen to take out any insurance on the phone (e.g., Asurion)? If you did, your insurance company would probably replace your phone after a $50 deductible. Otherwise, check with your carrier ... you may be able to buy a second-hand phone thru e-Bay, and have your carrier activate it (provided it's a phone they would support).
