I've had a v600 for about 5 years. In the past 2 weeks it has started dropping almost every call within about 2-3 mins...very frustrating. After spending an 1hr+ with customer service, they concluded it must be an issue with the phone. I did drop it a few weeks ago, so maybe so...but that seems odd behavior for a dropped phone. It doesn't lose signal strength, but about 2 min into the call, the caller on the other end can't hear me for a few seconnds and then it drops. I have to wait a couple mins to recall or the call fails. It does seem that if I continue to speak, then it can hold the call and is less inclined to drop...odd.
1. Is there anything else anyone would recommend I could check/try that might fix this with my exisiting phone ?
2. If not fixable, I'm looking to replace and not ready to upgrade so looks like I'll be going to ebay/craigslist to find an unlocked replacment. Am I limited to purchasing the same model ? i.e. Is my SIM card portable to other phones and if so, how can I determine which models I can consider ?
