I own the Entice W766 (Verizon) and want to move photos to my MacBookPro (OS X) 10.6.2.
Anyone know if I can use a Micro USB/USB 2.0 cable to connect with and transfer pictures from my Motorola cell phone? Will I have to use 3rd party software to talk to the phone?
thank you

Re: W766 Entice photo transfering
Transfer via SD card (annoying due to the SD card slot's location behind the battery).
Transfer via Blue Tooth. I don't own a mac, but I would think that you could open the phone's directory structure via bluetooth by opening the bluetooth device as I can in vista. Access to the phones folders is hit or miss, but access to the SD card should be good.
You may need to get the motorola drivers first.
Motorola Phone Tools may work via USB, but make sure you purchase a version that supports your phone.

Re: W766 Entice photo transfering
I also just found out that you can access the SD card of your phone via the micro USB cable. This only connects to the card, so if you want to transfer images and the like to your computer, make sure they are stored on the card.
Settings & Tools, Tools, USB Mass Storage. On my verizon phone the numbers are 9, 2, 8.
This puts the phone into a mode where it is basically a USB Mass Storage Device with only the SD card as its contents. This will allow you to plug it into your computer and treat it like any USB flash drive.
