News: Motorola i296 iDEN phone for Boost Mobile

Although Boost Mobile is in the process of launching the Motorola i1 on June 20, they have decided to launch another iDEN handset that is more on the basic side called the Motorola i296 iDEN handset.

The Motorola i296 is a rugged phone that is built to US military-standard 810F requirements for dust, vibration and shock resistance and comes with a price of $59.99. Features of the Motorola i296 are: Nationwide Walkie-Talkie capability, GPS, Web browser, voice-activated dialing, SMS, MMS, Bluetooth, and it does not have a photo camera.

The Motorola i296 is available as of right now online and through Boost Mobile's retail stores as well as other independent wireless dealers. Stores such as Target, Sprint Wireless and Best Buy should begin offering the handset with the next couple months.
