Swapped over the SIM card from old to new V557 and it boots up but skips the security unlock password entry and has none of the stored phone calls, etc.
It does have the address book, but the other things would be nice to keep that apparently are stored on the old phone rather than the SIM card.
Another thing is that the new phone won't let me enter a new unlock password because it first asks for the old one and apparently it's from the phone and not the SIM. Is that right?

Is there a way to transfer the missing items and also get a new unlock password entered?

I saw something called Master Reset in the menu but didn't know what if anything would get wiped clean from the phone or the SIM.

do you have a data cable for the phone? Not everything is stored on the sim card.
