Transferring Music or Sounds To Use as Custom Ringtones / Notifications:
- Connect your device to your computer using the USB cable that was included in your smartphone's box / packaging
- If this is the first time you are plugging your handset into your computer, you may receive a pop-up on your PC's display, asking to install the necessary drivers. Click "OK" to continue. (Note: if the drivers are not found, visit the Motorola website and download from there)
- On your smartphone, drag down the "Notification" bar
- Tap the "USB connection" notification
- Tap "Media device (MTP)"
- Drag the desired audio files from your PC to your smartphone
- Once the transfer is complete, safely disconnect your smartphone from your PC
Setting Custom Sounds
Changing the Notification Sound:
- While viewing the home screen, tap the "Apps" icon
- Go to and select "Settings"
- Tap "Sounds"
- Select "Notification ringtone" and choose the tone that you wish to assign
- Press "OK" to confirm
Changing the Ringtone for All Calls:
- While on the home screen, tap the "Apps" icon
- Go to "Settings" and select "Sound"
- Tap "Phone ringtone"
- Browse the list of ringtones, select the one that you wish to assign and tap "OK" to confirm
Changing the Ringtone for a Specific Contact:
- From any of the home screens, tap the "Apps" icon
- Go to "Contacts"
- Select the contact that you wish to assign the ringtone to
- Under the "Ringtone" field, tap "Default"
- Select the desired tone from the list
- Tap "OK" to confirm
