Transferring Audio Files from a Windows PC to Use as Ringtones / Notifications:

  1. Connect the Moto G LTE to your computer via USB
  2. From the home screen, swipe the "Notification" bar down
  3. If necessary, tap "Disk drive"
  4. From the AutoPlay window on your computer, click "Open folder to view files using Windows Explorer"
  5. Click "OK"
  6. Locate the "Ringtones", "Alarms" and "Audio/Notifications" folders located in the "Media" folder on your smartphone
  7. Launch a second Windows Explorer window and locate the audio files stored on your PC's hard drive
  8. Transfer / copy the desired files on your phone's memory, in one or more of the aforementioned folders
  9. After the files have been copied, click the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon from the system tray
  10. Click "Safely Remove Mass Storage Device" > "OK"
  11. You can now disconnect your smartphone

Changing the Smartphone's (General) Ringtone:

  1. Tap the "Apps" icon while on the home screen
  2. Tap "Settings"
  3. Swipe to "Device" and tap "Sound"
  4. Tap "Phone ringtone" under "Call Ringtone & Vibrate"
  5. Choose the desired ringtone from the list and tap "OK"
  6. If you wish, mark the check box next to "Vibrate when ringing"

Assigning a Custom Ringtone to a Single Contact:

  1. Open the apps drawer and launch the "People" app
  2. Choose the contact that you wish to customize
  3. Tap the "Menu" icon
  4. Tap "Set ringtone" and choose the desired ringtone
  5. Tap "OK" to assign it

Changing the Default Notification Sound:

  1. Tap the "Apps" icon located on the home screen
  2. Tap "Settings"
  3. Scroll to "Device" and tap "Sound"
  4. Under "System", tap "Default Notification Sound"
  5. Select the desired sound and tap "OK" to save the changes
