Well, since my phone broke, my Grandma gave me her Motorola V557. When it arrived in the mail today, it would power on, with no display. Trying to diagnose the problem, I opened up the phone to check for connection issues. Everything seemed to be connected, and the ear speaker and vibration motor work as well. Even after reseating the display connector (and even testing it on my Motorola v505 without a display), the display still would not turn on. I can't figure out what the problem is!! I also accidentally broke off a small piece of plastic from the inside of the flip so now the display is loose. Is it possible that the ATI chip is blown?
