Via iTunes:

NOTE: If you have iTunes and an active Internet connection on your computer, you can sync the contacts from your iPhone with your Google account, and then re-sync the contacts from the account with your Moto E.

  1. Launch iTunes on your computer
  2. Connect your iPhone to the PC via USB
  3. After it connects, the iPhone should appear in iTunes. Click it to access the summary page
  4. From the "Info" tab mark the check box associated with "Sync Contacts With"
  5. Select "Google Contacts" from the drop-down menu
  6. Enter your Google account's login details or click "Configure" and select an existing account from the list (if applicable)
  7. Click "Apply" to start the sync
  8. Register the same Google account on your Moto E and allow it to sync contacts with your device

Via iCloud:

NOTE: If you have used the iCloud service on your iPhone before, chances are that your contacts are already backed up on your iCloud account. By accessing it using a computer connected to the Internet, you can export the contacts in the form of a VCF file for use on Android. To do so:

  1. Open the Internet browser on your PC
  2. Visit https://www.icloud.com/ and sign in with your iCloud account
  3. Access "Contacts" and select the contacts you want to export
  4. Click "Settings" > "Export vCard". The file will be downloaded on your computer
  5. After you obtain the file, import it to "Google Contacts" or skip this step and instead:
  6. Connect the Moto E to your computer via USB and transfer the file to the phone's storage. Next, open "Contacts" and tap "Menu" > "Import / Export" > "Import from storage". Sign in or create an account if necessary, then follow any additional on-screen prompts that may follow

Via "My Contacts Backup":

NOTE: The two methods above require access to a computer connected to the Internet, but you can also transfer your contacts using third party apps. My Contacts Backup is a third party iOS app that can be used to back up and transfer your contacts via email. To use this method:

  1. Open the App Store and install "My Contacts Backup" on your iPhone
  2. Launch the app and tap "Backup"
  3. Once the backup file is done, tap "Email"
  4. Make sure the backup file is attached to the email, then send it to your own Gmail address
  5. Switch to the Moto E and open the email client
  6. Download the attached backup file and import the contents to your phonebook using the "Import" option from the "Contacts" app

Using "Send Anywhere":

NOTE: Send Anywhere is 3rd party app for iOS and Android that can be used for transferring files and contacts cross-platform over a peer-to-peer connection. To use this method:

  1. Access the App Store and install "Send Anywhere" on your iPhone
  2. Download the same app on the Moto E via the Play Store
  3. Open the application on both smartphones
  4. On the iPhone tap "Send" > "Contacts"
  5. Select the contacts you want to share and tap "Send"
  6. Choose a method of transfer. Tapping "Generate QR Code" on the iPhone allows you to commence the transfer by scanning the code with the Moto E's camera. Alternatively you can tap "Receive" on the Moto E and enter the transfer code from the iPhone to begin the transfer
