Transfer Audio Files from a Windows PC:
- Connect the Moto G 2015 to your computer via USB
- Swipe the “Notification” bar down
- Make sure the USB connection is set to “Disk drive”
- In the AutoPlay window on the computer, double-click “Open folder to view files using Windows Explorer”
- Access the “Media” folder on your phone and preferably, navigate to “Ringtones” and “Notifications” folders
- Open a second Explorer window and locate the audio files on your computer
- Copy the desired audio files, and transfer them on your phone (first Explorer window)
- Once the transfer is done, click the mass storage device icon in the system tray, eject the phone storage, and disconnect it from the computer
Change the Phone’s Ringtone:
- Tap “All apps”
- Tap “Settings” and swipe to “Device”
- Tap “Sound”
- Under “Call Ringtone & Vibrate” tap “Phone ringtone”
- Select the desired ringtone and tap “OK”
- Optionally tap “Also vibrate for calls” to enable or disable vibration
Change the Ringtone of a Specific Contact:
NOTE: Custom ringtones cannot be assigned to contacts stored on the SIM or the phone memory
- Tap “Apps” on the home screen
- Open “Contacts”
- Select the desired contact and tap the “Edit” icon
- Tap “Menu” > “Set ringtone”
- Select the ringtone you want to use and tap “OK” to confirm
Change the Notification Sound:
- Access the phone’s “Settings” screen
- Swipe to “Device” and tap “Sound & notification”
- Under “Sound”, tap “Default Notification Sound”
- Select the notification sound you want and tap “OK” to confirm
