Transfer Audio Files from a Windows PC:

  1. Connect the Moto G Turbo Edition to your computer via USB
  2. Swipe the “Notification” bar down and make sure the phone is connected as a “Media device (MTP)
  3. Launch an Explorer window on the computer and locate the desired audio files on your PC
  4. Copy the files you want to use for ringtones & notifications
  5. Transfer the files on the phone storage, preferably in the “Ringtones” / “Notifications” / “Alarms” folders in the “Media” directory
  6. Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via the system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB connector

Change the Phone Ringtone:

  1. Open the apps drawer
  2. Launch “Settings” and scroll to “Device
  3. Tap “Sound
  4. Under “Call Ringtone & Vibrate”, tap “Phone ringtone
  5. Select the desired ringtone
  6. Tap “OK” to confirm
  7. Optionally, you can enable or disable “Also vibrate for calls

Change the Ringtone of a Specific Contact:

NOTE: You cannot set custom ringtones to contacts stored on the SIM card or the phone’s internal memory.

  1. Launch “Contacts” and select the desired contact
  2. Tap “Edit” > “Menu
  3. Tap “Set ringtone
  4. Select the desired ringtone and tap “OK

Change the Notification Sound:

  1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
  2. Go to “Settings
  3. Scroll to “Device” and tap “Sound & notification
  4. Under “Sound”, tap “Default Notification Sound
  5. Select a notification sound and tap “OK” to confirm and set it
