Transfer Audio Files from a Windows Computer:
- Connect the Moto G4 Plus to your computer via USB
- When prompted, enable “Media device (MTP)” / “File Transfer (MTP)”, otherwise enable the option from the “Notification” area
- Launch the File Explorer on the computer
- Locate the audio files on your computer and transfer them on the phone storage, preferably in the “Ringtones” / “Notifications” / “Alarms” folders in the “Media” directory
- After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB port
Change the Ringtone:
- Open the apps drawer
- Go to “Settings”
- Under “Device”, tap “Sound & notification”
- Tap “Phone ringtone” and select the desired ringtone
- Tap “OK” to confirm
- Optionally, you can turn “Also vibrate for calls” On or Off
Change the Notification Sound:
- Launch “Settings”
- Under “Device”, tap “Sound & notification”
- Tap “Default notification ringtone”
- Tap the notification sound you want to set
- Press “OK” to confirm
Change the Ringtone of a Specific Contact:
NOTE: Custom ringtones cannot be assigned for contacts located on the device’s internal storage or SIM card.
- Open “Contacts”
- Select the contact you want to set a ringtone to
- Tap “Edit” > “Menu”
- Select “Set ringtone”
- Tap the desired ringtone and tap “OK” to confirm
