Transfer Audio Files from a Windows Computer:
- Connect the Moto G4 Play to your computer via USB
- At the prompt, enable “File Transfer (MTP)” / “Media device (MPT)”, or enable the option from the “Notification” area
- Open the File Explorer on the computer
- Locate the desired audio files on your computer
- Copy the files and transfer the min the “Ringtones” / “Notifications” / “Alarms” directories in the “Media” folder
- Once the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB port
Change the General Ringtone:
- Tap “Apps” on the home screen
- Open “Settings”
- Scroll to “Device” and tap “Sound & Notification”
- Tap “Phone ringtone”
- Select the desired ringtone and tap “OK”
- Optionally, you can enable or disable “Also vibrate for calls”
Change the Notification Sound:
- Open “Settings”
- Tap “Sound & notification” under “Device”
- Tap “Default notification ringtone”
- Tap the notification sound you want to use and press “OK” to confirm
Change the Ringtone of a Specific Contact:
NOTE: Custom ringtones cannot be set to contacts stored on the SIM card or the phone’s internal memory.
- Launch “Contacts”
- Tap the contact you want to customize
- Tap “Edit” > “Menu”
- Tap “Set ringtone” and select the desired ringtone
- Tap “OK” to confirm
