Transfer Audio Files from a Windows Computer:

  1. Connect the Moto G4 Play to your computer via USB
  2. At the prompt, enable “File Transfer (MTP)” / “Media device (MPT)”, or enable the option from the “Notification” area
  3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
  4. Locate the desired audio files on your computer
  5. Copy the files and transfer the min the “Ringtones” / “Notifications” / “Alarms” directories in the “Media” folder
  6. Once the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB port

Change the General Ringtone:

  1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
  2. Open “Settings
  3. Scroll to “Device” and tap “Sound & Notification
  4. Tap “Phone ringtone
  5. Select the desired ringtone and tap “OK
  6. Optionally, you can enable or disable “Also vibrate for calls

Change the Notification Sound:

  1. Open “Settings
  2. Tap “Sound & notification” under “Device
  3. Tap “Default notification ringtone
  4. Tap the notification sound you want to use and press “OK” to confirm

Change the Ringtone of a Specific Contact:

NOTE: Custom ringtones cannot be set to contacts stored on the SIM card or the phone’s internal memory.

  1. Launch “Contacts
  2. Tap the contact you want to customize
  3. Tap “Edit” > “Menu
  4. Tap “Set ringtone” and select the desired ringtone
  5. Tap “OK” to confirm
