Back Up App Data:

  1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
  2. Open “Settings
  3. Under “Personal”, tap “Backup & reset
  4. Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data to your Google account
  5. Enable “Automatic restore” to allow app data to be automatically restored upon signing in with your Google backup account

Back Up Contacts:

  1. Launch “Settings
  2. Scroll to, and tap “Accounts
  3. Select the account type and account you want to use for syncing contacts
  4. Enable “Contacts” if needed
  5. Tap “menu” > “Sync now

NOTE: Contacts backed up using this method can be restored automatically the next time you sign in with your backup account.

Back Up Media Files on a Windows Computer:

  1. Connect the Moto E3 Power to your PC via USB
  2. Enable “Media device (MTP)” / “File Transfer (MTP)” at the prompt or from the “Notification” area
  3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
  4. Use the Explorer to locate the media files on your phone and copy them
  5. Transfer the files in the desired backup location on the PC storage
  6. Once the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord

Restore Media Files from a Windows PC:

  1. Connect the Motorola Moto E3 Power to your PC via USB
  2. Enable “Media device (MTP)” / “File Transfer (MTP)” when prompted or from the “Notification” area
  3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
  4. Use the Explorer to locate the media file backups on the PC storage
  5. Copy the desired files and transfer them back on the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” folder or the directory they originate from
  6. After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB port
