Back Up App Data:
- Tap “Apps” on the home screen
- Open “Settings”
- Under “Personal”, tap “Backup & reset”
- Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data to your Google account
- Enable “Automatic restore” to allow app data to be automatically restored upon signing in with your Google backup account
Back Up Contacts:
- Launch “Settings”
- Scroll to, and tap “Accounts”
- Select the account type and account you want to use for syncing contacts
- Enable “Contacts” if needed
- Tap “menu” > “Sync now”
NOTE: Contacts backed up using this method can be restored automatically the next time you sign in with your backup account.
Back Up Media Files on a Windows Computer:
- Connect the Moto E3 Power to your PC via USB
- Enable “Media device (MTP)” / “File Transfer (MTP)” at the prompt or from the “Notification” area
- Launch the File Explorer on the computer
- Use the Explorer to locate the media files on your phone and copy them
- Transfer the files in the desired backup location on the PC storage
- Once the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord
Restore Media Files from a Windows PC:
- Connect the Motorola Moto E3 Power to your PC via USB
- Enable “Media device (MTP)” / “File Transfer (MTP)” when prompted or from the “Notification” area
- Launch the File Explorer on the computer
- Use the Explorer to locate the media file backups on the PC storage
- Copy the desired files and transfer them back on the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” folder or the directory they originate from
- After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB port
