First, you do not need the Modem download!

Follow these steps and you can use your USB Data cable too.
First-go to "my computer-or whatever yours is called" RIGHT CLICK, select properties, devices, USB-if there are any items that have a !, ?, * noting an error-remove that item from the file.

Next-shut down your pc making sure that your DATA CABLE IS NOT CONNECTED until I say connect it.

Next-roboot your pc, wait for it to reload all other usb items that it needs to.

Next- go to http://idenphones.motorola.com/iden/...plications.jsp and download Companion Pro.
and iDEN USB Installation Application(located below companion pro updater0

This has the drivers that you will need to use the USB cable.
Once installed Restart your pc.DO NOT ATTACH YOUR CABLE YET! Once everything is loaded then plug in your USB Cable. Click on companion pro to start the program.
Once it's open click on the single phone icon at the top to READ PHONE. This will ensure that your cable is working properly.

Your USB cable is now set up to use. Congratulations.
