How-to: Moto E4 Plus: Manage Contacts and Caller Groups; Clear the Call Log

Create a New Contact:

1. Open “Contacts”
2. Go to “All Contacts”
3. Tap “+” and select the desired method for storing or syncing the contact
4. Enter the contact’s phone number, name, and other details in the appropriate fields
5. Tap “Done”

Import / Export Contacts:

1. Open “Contacts”
2. Tap “Menu” > “Import / Export”
3. Choose to “Import from storage”, “Import from SIM card” or “Export to storage”
4. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the import/export

Add Contacts to Speed Dial:

1. Tap and hold an empty area on the home screen
2. Access “Widgets”
3. Find and drag & drop the “Direct Dial” widget in an empty area on the home screen
4. When prompted, select the contact you want to link with the widget

NOTE: You can repeat the steps above to add multiple Direct Dial widgets for additional contacts on the home screen. Furthermore you can organize Direct Dial widgets in folders on the home screen by dragging one widget and dropping it over another.

Deleting Contacts:

1. Open “Contacts”
2. Access “All Contacts”
3. Select the contact you want to delete
4. Tap “Edit” > “Menu”
5. Tap “Delete” > “OK” to confirm

Reset the Call Log:

1. Launch “Phone”
2. Tap “Menu” > “Call history”
3. Select a call log entry for more details
4. To clear the call log, tap “Menu” > “Clear history” > “Clear call log”

Create a New Caller Group:

1. Launch “Contacts”
2. Access “All Contacts”
3. Tap “+” and access “Groups” under “Group name”
4. Tap “Create a new group”
5. Enter the desired name for the group and tap “OK”
6. Press “Back” to confirm

Assign Contacts to an Existing Caller Groups:

1. Launch “Contacts”
2. Go to “All Contacts”
3. Tap and hold the contact you want to add to the group
4. Tap “Edit” > “Group name”
5. Select the desired caller group and tap “Back” to confirm
