Transfer Audio Files from a Windows PC:
- Connect the Moto device to your computer via USB
- Enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” when prompted or from the “Notification” area
- Open the File Explorer on the computer
- Locate the desired audio files on the PC storage
- Copy and transfer the files on the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” directory
- After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB port
Change the General Ringtone:
- Open “Settings”
- Scroll to “Device” and tap “Sound & Notification”
- Select the desired ringtone and tap “OK”
- Optionally, you can enable or disable “Also vibrate for calls”
Change a Specific Contact’s Ringtone:
NOTE: You cannot set custom ringtones for contacts located on the SIM card or the phone’s internal memory.
- Open “Contacts”
- Tap and hold the contact whose ringtone you want to edit
- Tap “Edit” > “Menu” > “Set ringtone”
- Select the desired ringtone
- Tap “OK” to confirm
Change the Notification Alert Sound:
- Launch “Settings”
- Under “Device”, tap “Sound & Notification”
- Tap “Default notification ringtone”
- Select the desired notification alert
- Tap “OK” to confirm
