Share iPhone Contacts Using iTunes:

NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer with Internet access you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. Then you can sync the account data – and contacts – with the Android phone.

  1. Connect the iPhone to the computer via USB
  2. Open iTunes on the computer and click the iPhone
  3. Go to “Info” and enable “Sync Contacts With”
  4. Select “Google Contacts” from the drop-down menu
  5. Log in with your Google account or click “Configure” and select an existing account
  6. Click “Apply” to begin the sync
  7. Once done, switch to the Android phone and log in with the same account used in iTunes
  8. Set the account to sync contacts with the Android device

Share iPhone Contacts via iCloud:

NOTE: If your iPhone contacts are already backed up on your iCloud account, you can sign in with the account on a computer with Internet access and export the contacts in a vCard file for use on the Android device.

  1. Open the Internet browser on the computer
  2. Visit https://www.icloud.com/
  3. Log in with your iCloud account and go to “Contacts”
  4. Select the contacts you want to share
  5. Click “Settings” > “Export vCard”
  6. After the vCard has been downloaded, perform one of these steps:
    • Open the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to “Google Contacts” or:
    • Connect the device to the computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and use “Contacts” to import it to your phonebook

Using My Contacts Backup:

NOTE: While the methods above require a computer with Internet access, you can also share your iPhone contacts using third-party apps. My Contacts Backup is an iOS third-party app you can use to back up and share iPhone contacts via email.

  1. Go to the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
  2. Launch the app and tap “Backup” to create a vCard of your iPhone contacts
  3. Once done, send the vCard to your own email address as an attachment
  4. Switch to the Android phone and open the email, then download the vCard attachment
  5. Import the vCard to your phonebook using “Contacts”

Using Send Anywhere:

NOTE: Another third-party app you can use is Send Anywhere, available on Android and iOS. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to share contacts and other file types, cross-platform, without requiring computer access.

  1. Install Send Anywhere on the iPhone via the App Store
  2. Go to the Play Store and install the app on the Android device
  3. Open the app on both smartphones
  4. On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts”
  5. Select the desired contacts and tap “Send”
  6. Finally select a transfer method on one of the phones and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
