Share iPhone Contacts Using iTunes:
NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer with Internet access you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account, and then sync the account data including contacts with the Android phone.
- Connect the iPhone to the computer via USB
- Open iTunes on the PC
- Click the iPhone in iTunes and access Info
- Enable Sync Contacts With
- Select Google Contacts from the drop-down menu
- Log in with y our Google account or click Configure and select an existing one
- Click Apply to begin the sync
- After the sync is complete, switch to the Android device and log in with the same account used in iTunes
- Set the account to sync contacts with the Android phone
Share iPhone Contacts via iCloud:
NOTE: In case your iPhone contacts are backed up on your iCloud account, you can sign in with the account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contacts in a vCard file for use on the Android phone.
- Open the Internet browser on the computer
- Visit https://www.icloud.com/
- Log in with your iCloud account and access Contacts
- Select the contacts you want to share
- Click Settings > Export vCard
- After the vCard has been downloaded, perform one of the steps below:
- Open the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to Google Contacts or:
- Connect the Android device to the computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and use Contacts to import its contents to your phonebook
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: While the methods above require a computer with Internet access, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts via third-party apps. My Contacts Backup is an iOS third-party app that can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.
- Go to the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
- Launch the app and tap Backup to create a vCard of your contacts
- Once done, compose an email and attach the vCard
- Send the email and attachment to your own address
- Switch to the Android phone and open the email, then download the vCard attachment
- Use Contacts to import the vCard to your phonebook
Using Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Another third-party app you can use is Send Anywhere, available on Android and iOS. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to share contacts and other file types, cross-platform, without requiring computer access.
- Install Send Anywhere on the iPhone via the App Store
- Go to the Play Store and install the app on the Android device
- Launch the app on both phones
- On the iPhone, tap Send > Contacts
- Select the contacts you want to share and tap Send
- Finally select a transfer method on one of the phones and follow the on-screen prompts
