WARNING! When you factory reset your phone, all the personal data located on the phone will be deleted, including contacts, downloaded content, media files, apps etc. Furthermore, all settings will be restored to factory values. Data located on the SIM and SD storage won’t be affected.
NOTE: Before your reset your phone, you can check this thread for a guide on how to back up and restore data.
Factory Reset via Settings:
- Launch “Settings”
- Go to “Backup & Reset”
- If your phone is protected by a lock screen, enter your PIN/password to proceed
- Tap “Reset phone” and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
Factory Reset via Recovery:
- First ensure the phone is powered Off
- Next, press and hold “Power” and “Volume down” simultaneously
- Once you gain access to “Boot Mode Selection” release the buttons
- Then, press “Volume down” repeatedly to navigate the menu and highlight “Recovery”
- Press “Volume Up” to select the highlighted option
- At the “No Command” screen, press and release “Power” and “Volume Up” for several times until you gain access to Recovery
- Once in Recovery, press “Volume down” repeatedly to navigate to and highlight “Wipe data/factory reset”
- Press “Power” to select the option
- Highlight “Userdata only” or “Userdata + personalized content”
- Press “Power”
- After the process is done, make sure “Reboot system now” is highlighted
- Press “Power” one last time to confirm
