How-to: Motorola Moto G6 Plus: Block/Unblock Calls & Messages; Manage Call Forwarding

Block Incoming Calls from a Contact:

1. Launch “Contacts”
2. Go to “All contacts”
3. Tap the phone number/contact you want to block
4. Tap “Edit” > “Menu” and enable “All calls to voicemail”

Unblock Incoming Calls from a Contact:

1. Open “Contacts”
2. Access “All contacts”
3. Tap the contact whose calls you want to unblock
4. Tap “Edit” > “Menu”
5. Disable “All calls to voicemail”

Block Messages:

1. Launch Google Messenger
2. Tap the conversation exchanged with the phone number you want to block
3. Tap “Menu” > “People & Options” > “Block [phone number]”
4. Press “OK” to confirm

NOTE: The conversation and future messages from the blocked contact will be archived and notification alerts will be disabled for archived messages.

Unblock Incoming Messages:

1. Launch Google Messenger
2. Tap “Menu” > “archived”
3. Select the conversation exchanged with the contact you want to unblock
4. Tap “Menu”
5. Go to “Unarchive” and tap “Menu” > “People & Options”
6. Tap “Unblock [phone number]”

Enable Call Forwarding:

1. Open “Phone”
2. Tap “Settings”
3. Go to “Call forwarding” (NOTE: this feature might be unavailable if it isn’t supported by your carrier)
4. Enter or edit the phone number you want to use for call forwarding, or select a contact form the phonebook
5. Tap “Enable”

Enable Conditional Call Forwarding:

1. Launch “Phone’
2. Tap “Menu”
3. Go to “Settings”
4. Select to forward incoming calls “When unanswered” “When unreachable” or “When busy”
5. Edit or enter the phone number you want to use for call forwarding
6. Tap “Enable” / “Update”

Disable Call Forwarding:

1. Open “Phone”
2. Tap “Menu” > “Settings”
3. Access “Call forwarding”
4. If necessary, select the forwarding option you want to turn off
5. Tap “Disable”
