It sounds like she's trying to find the person whose number was left on the phone. You can order such a search directly from this site. Licensed investigators will manually research the number and return the user's name and address. They even have a no-hit/fee policy.

I think your best choice would be to start with this site, and if you're not able to trace the owner's name/ address that way, kick it up a notch to this site. I wouldn't like it too much either if someone had abused my cell phone, but if you're in the middle of something like that now -- and you need quick results -- you might do well to do a little investigating yourself just in case the phone company comes after you for the bill that this girl ran up!

    Hope this helps.

the police will not do a look up for a $200 phone nor should they they have better things to do now a days

you would need to goto small claims court and have the judge or majastrate auth. a privite dective or lawers office to get the info from the cell phone company ( get the hint this is getting expensive ) so if you are able to find the person then you could take them to court and hope the judge includes all of your fees in the award but the question is "is it worth it"

if it is great all the power to ya make the scum pay

if not call police make a report call cell phone provider and put a block on the phone and hope to find a new phone for little money

    Howdy Margdonley,

Well the truth is in the real world, the average Joe or Joan doesn't track their own stolen phone. At least not without one of those 007 tracking devices stuck in or on the phone and a $500+ homing receiver.

Unless of course you know the person that took it, and plan to stalk them.

wow that is a horrible story... You should go to the police and have the numbers traced and let the girl that stole your daughters phone pay lol

take the number that you have, go to the police, and tell them you want the number traced and you're going to press charges for stolen property and harassment.
