When it turns on and off over and over it is due to the SIM card not being seated good, or the contact being bad between the SIM card and phone. Some people fold up a small piece of paper or buy a new plastic SIM tray.

Sorry to say, but you shouldn't have bought one.

I've had mine for a year now, and can assure you, it's a piece of junk.

I would say first that you should check out troubleshooting pages on the palm.com website. It's a great resource.

I would send it into servicing, what most people dont know is that TREO has recalls and you can send it in for FREE.

I just got a new Treo 650, and started it up tonight. After charging it, then putting in my SIM card, it keeps powering off & on on its own. Has anyone else seen this? Could it be a faulty phone, or am I not doing something right? Thanks for helping out a newbie!
