    I would think that since the d809 and the d807 were so similar the volume shortcut would work for both but alas no that is not the case

    The speaker phone will still be active even if you slide your phone down!

    by setting the phone's "USB settings" to massive storage, Samsung studio software will not connect to the phone!

    You can charge the phone via USB!

    By pressing and holding the volume key...you can see the time, date & signal with out sliding the phone open...(black screen)
