I have a similar problem with my LG but it's a kind of random problem. One day I closed the phone in the middle of it saving a ringtone, and now there is a "ringtone" without a name. If I select the nameless ringtone, it prompts the phone to reboot. Sometimes the phone will also reboot if I try to access a non-wap site through the wap browser, or if I have been playing a game for a long time, like level 11 on tetris (man that makes me !).

I'm not sure what to tell you as far as advice, except you can go into your menu settings and make your phone search for a software upgrade, it's probably not going to fix your problem, but it's something you can try. You might end up having to take it to a Verizon store and see if they can help.
