    apologies
Unplug it, and put it in a different one... I wouldn't put it in a hub... just plug it straight into the computer.

& yeah I think from what my dad's told me, that means that theres too much power trying to go through the port... or that the USB cable/hub is screwed up. My old iPod usb cord kept saying that until I replace the cord.

How do you do that? And does it mean anything when a pop up says "power surge on hub port" when I plug the cable in?

If it fits in the phone, it should be the correct cable. The most important thing is to get the proper drivers for the cable. I have had the best luck with my 5200 with this program and drivers.

[FONT=Verdana] I ordered a USB cable for my LG VX5200 off cellphoneshop.net When I got it, I spent several days trying to get it to work. I downloaded Bitpim, changed the setting on my phone, downloaded the drivers, everything possible as far as I know. Then I was browsing the website I ordered the cable from and noticed that the cable I ordered isn't the cable I got. The cable I recieved is for LG VX3200, VX6100, VX4650, VX4700, VX7000 and VX8000 and the one I actually ordered is for the LG VX5200, VX 8100. After a few back and forth emails with the company, and me going into my problems with great detail, they finally told me that it is the right cable and to try it ((as if I haven't already)). Can anyone tell me if the cable I have actually can or cannot work with my phone? Or if there is anything I haven't tried that will help for it to work? Thank you.
