I'm going to wait until Juneish to get a new one though. By then I've had the thing for a year, so I'll have the new one for another year (in hopes that I can't break it much worse) before contract runs out and I'll get a new phone. Thanks for your help guys.

probably time to make an insurance claim, you can fix it but chances are it will start doing it again.

Well it looks like some are a bit scruntched together. I deffinetly don't have a surgeons hand, so I'm debating whether or not to try and fix that problem and risk breaking 90 other things, or just deal. What's the worse I can do to the phone if I totally screw up? I'm willing to pay the insurance deductable to get a new one because some of the side buttons aren't working and the end (and pwr) button is...well its had its better days (dropped it 90 times...floors fault for damage, not mine.)

Check the prongs on your phone where you plug in the charger. Sounds like some of them are shorting together. Make sure none are touching the other.

    Hello everyone,

As is probably obvious, I'm very new here. My problem has been on going for a few months. My phone goes into Car Kit mode while plugged into any charger. It was in Car Kit mode without the charger for a while aswell, but I fixed that using the "shorting" trick with a butter knife. Now it reads it whenever it is plugged in. It's very frustrating if I'm trying to complete an important call, and the batter is running out, because I can't just plug it in and complete the conversation. I was hoping there was some kind of solution out there for this pretty unique problem. Thanks
